"Penso che il FITPC sia ideale per applicazioni a lungo termine perché l'assenza di ventole e il riavvio automatico
offrono tranquillità per sedi remote.
Noi lo usiamo soprattutto per acquisizioni dati in luoghi non facilmente accessibili."
"I think that the FITPC is ideal for applications in the long term because of the absence of a fan and the auto resume function, all of which offers peace of mind for remote locations.
We use it for data acquisition in places not easy accessible."

I have my FITPC2 connected to an SMS-controlled power switch so I can power it up remotely from my mobile phone. Unlike many other PCs, the FITPC2 will boot up when it sees the power come on. I can then access all my home documents and work them remotely, and if I need to use my Development machine then I use Wake-on-LAN from the FITPC2 to get the Development machine to wake up from standby and I can then remote desktop it from the FITPC2. The FITPC2 is configured dual boot Ubuntu and Windows XP with the default being XP.
I have a second FITPC (the earlier model) which runs 24x7 connected to a sophisticated weather station and it gathers statistics, maintains my weather web site automatically, sends emails on certain weather triggers, and catalogues the stats on an online MySQL database. That machine is never powered down except for maintenance. It is running Windows XP.
Hope that helps paint the picture?
Kind Regards
Steve

Bill Bates - Agenda IT
"The fit PC has been the perfect product to build into our bespoke Point of Sales units. It has allowed us to reduce the foot print by 75% and increase the speed of processing. Coupled with the 10” touch screen I can say we are extremely please with this product. (And the support we had from Fit PC was fantastic!)"

With ever increasing electricity costs for businesses we set out to start to drive down the amount we consumed. When we came across the Fit PC being supplied by Anders Electronics we immediately ordered one to test in our day-to-day business environment, our test user found no difference in performing their duties whilst using the low powered PC. We soon established that it met our needs and would significantly reduce our energy consumption, we then took the project to the Carbon Trust and achieved the highest level of funding available for the project as the final implementation in the business would save a massive 5.5 tonnes of carbon per annum over our existing PC’s. We would recommend the implementation of the Fit PC for both cost saving and carbon emission reductions. Thank you to all at Anders Electronics for their help during our project.

"A few months ago you helped me with some power specifications for a project my company is undertaking creating a standalone box of networked FitPC2 computers to be used for testing in the wireless industry. Since then we have had great results and have produced 4 of the boxes using 92 of your SBCs. Your advice regarding heat dissipation was spot-on, and four 3" fans are more than adequate to cool each group of 23 computers, so thank you!"
This Testimonial was in response to the following advice that was given to the customer a few months ago when asking about Power consumption on FitPC2s in a server rack:
"You may assume total power of 7W*23 ~= 160W. Add to that LAN switch and 80% efficiency of power supply and it’s about 200W (for 23 FitPC2s).
No particular hot-spot.
Fit-PC2 can withstand ambient of 45C or even 50C considering the given airflow.
Assuming uniform airflow in the chassis I would expect that the 3 fans are sufficient for cooling.
Since the fit-PC2 are going to be mostly headless you can reduce 1-1.5W average consumption of each."

We'd like to thank you and Anders Electronics for the excellent support.
As we installed and used fit-PC2 it was a very positive surprise. It has enough processing power for up to moderate complexity applications and by supporting 1900x1200 displays, it allows for excellent graphic usability. And it's so small that it just "fits in"!
Please see attached an example of a monitoring system with analog i/o, digital i/o and thermocouple acquisition. fit-PC is on the top-right corner, hidden under the heat-sink.
Thank you once again.

Craig Hirst - Numed Healthcare
"We have loaded our application this morning which is essentially a media presentation system. I have to say so far we are astonished with the performance of the unit. Our application has a ticker message which scrolls across the bottom of the screen and many PCs struggle to display this smoothly. The Fit-PC is performing very well, as good as any we've seen."
