What Else Do I Need?
Your Fit PC2 will come with pretty much everything you need to get quickly up-and-running to work with your current monitor, keyboard and mouse.
However there are some scenarios when some additional accessories will be necessary:
1) VGA Monitor
All Fit PC2s ha
ve DVI-Digital video output only, which means that you cannot connect them to a VGA monitor directly without a DVI to VGA converter (Note: a DVI-VGA adaptor will not work). Most newer monitors from the past 18 months or so have a DVI input, so you will be able to use them with your Fit PC without any extra cables or converters.
However, if your monitor cable looks like the image to the right, and there is no DVI connection (also see right) alongside, then you will need to purchase a Fit-VGA, which is a DVI-VGA converter developed especially for Fit PC. Cost for the Fit-VGA is £25, though there are substantial volume discounts available.
2) Mounting Options
Fit PC2 has a 100mm VESA mount available for mounting either on the back of a monitor/TV or directly to the wall.
3) Keyboards / Mice - USB only
There are two types of keyboard/mouse connection - Green / Purple PS/2 (not the games console) or USB.
Fit PC2 only has USB inputs, so if your current keyboard/mouse is PS/2 you will need to get USB versions instead, but there are now very standard, and should set you back about £5-£10 each for good quality products.
