Fit PC 2i (Industrial)
The model name says industrial, but in terms of build and component quality, both Fit PC2 and 2i models are exactly the same.
Where they differ, is in the extra features that have been incorporated into the 2i, such as full RS232 Serial port, which make it especially taliored to a number of Industrial and OEM applications.
As well as the serial port, Fit PC 2i has a second Gigabit LAN port, making it perfect for Server and Network applications where the HW is generally left on 24 hours a day. Direct electricity savings per unit compared to a standard server left on 24/7/365 would be at least £100, not including savings on Air-con use.
Other extra features are the addition of Wake-on-LAN capability (not present in Fit PC2), as well as a securing screw for the DC-in jack to ensure it can't be pulled out accidentally. Fit PC2i is also available with extended temperature ranges, up to -40 to o+85 deg C for the most demanding industrial environments (MOQs apply for extended temp ranges).

Fit PC2 Models
There are 3 models of Fit PC2i, the differences between which are as follows:
- Fit PC2i Lite - 1.1GHz processor, 1GB RAM, no WiFi
- Fit PC2i Turbo - 1.6GHz Processor, 1GB RAM
- Fit PC2i Ultra - 1.6GHz Processor, 2GB RAM
We have various operating systems options available:
1) Windows XP Home
2) Windows 7 Professional
3) Linux (Mint 9)
4) No operating system or HDD ('Diskless')
Not all Operating system options are available on all models - please check each model's product page for details.
There are now also various options on size and type of internal storage drive that can come with Fit PC2, including 250GB HDD, or almost any capacity SSD from 8GB up. We can generally supply these drives with the above listed Operating systems pre-loaded.

Listing specific applications for Fit PC2i is difficult as the unique combination of small size, low power requirements and high-performance, as well as wide range of connectivity options (dual GB Lan, serial port, USB ports etc) make it ideal for an almost endless list of Industrial and OEM applications.
